Roz Ka Munafa Kaise Pata Karein?

Raat ko golla ginte hain, aur sochte hain — aaj kamai achhi hui. Lekin sach batayein. Woh jo ginti hai, woh sale hai… munafa nahi. Dono ek cheez nahi.

At night you count the till and think — good earnings today. But be honest. What you're counting is sales, not profit. They are not the same thing.

Farq samajh lein. Galle mein jo aaya, woh sale hai. Us mein se maal ki laagat aur dukaan ke kharche nikaal dein — jo bacha, woh munafa hai. Aayein, aaj ka asal adad nikalte hain.

Understand the difference. What came into the till is sales. Take out the cost of goods and the shop's expenses — what remains is profit. Let's find today's real number.

Pehle sale ki report. Reports kholein, aur tareekh chun lein — aaj, ya poora mahina. Kitne bill bane, aur kitne ka maal gaya, dono saamne aa jate hain.

First the sales report. Open Reports and pick a date range — today, or the whole month. How many bills were made and how much stock went out, both appear.

Ab zara neeche dekhein. Kaun si cheez sab se zyada biki, aur kaun si pari rahi. Yeh list bata deti hai ke paisa kahan lagana hai, aur kahan phansa hua hai.

Now look further down. What sold the most, and what sat there. This list tells you where to put your money, and where it's stuck.

Aur ab asal cheez — munafa nuqsan ki report. Yahan system khud laagat nikalta hai. Har cheez ki wohi khareed qeemat lagti hai jis par woh asal mein aayi thi, andaza nahi. Ooper sale, neeche laagat, aur aakhir mein jo bacha — woh aap ka munafa.

And now the real thing — the profit and loss report. The system works out the cost itself. Each item is costed at the price it was actually bought at, not an estimate. Sales above, cost below, and what remains at the end is your profit.

Ek baat yaad rakhein. Bijli ka bill, kiraya, larke ki tankhwah — yeh sab yahan kharchon mein darj karein. Yeh khud munafa mein se kat jayenge. Warna adad asal se zyada lagta rahega.

Remember one thing. The electricity bill, rent, your assistant's wages — record all of it under expenses. It gets deducted from profit automatically. Otherwise the number will keep looking better than it is.

Aur yehi woh ghalti hai jo sab se mehngi parti hai. Log sale ko munafa samajh lete hain. Laakh ki sale hui, khush ho gaye — halankay sattar hazaar to maal ki laagat thi. Rate usi waqt theek hote hain jab asal adad saamne ho.

And this is the costliest mistake. People take sales for profit. A hundred thousand in sales and they're delighted — when seventy thousand of it was the cost of goods. You only price correctly when the real number is in front of you.

Bas itna karein. Roz band karne se pehle yeh report ek baar khol lein. Ek minute lagega. Aur mahine ke aakhir mein aap andaza nahi lagayenge — aap ko pata hoga.

Just do this. Open this report once before closing each day. It takes a minute. And at month end you won't be guessing — you'll know.
